Who we read
We read fiction, poetry and essays in Spanish. You don't need to have published before, or to have an agent, or for the work to be entirely finished: if it's half-done, tell us and we'll take that into account.
What's in our catalogue today gives an idea of where we're heading: ciencia ficción, cuentos, ensayo / crítica teatral, fantasía oscura, minicuentos, novela, novela infanto juvenil, poesía, teatro. Your genre not being on that list isn't a no: it just hasn't arrived yet.
What the process is like
Four stages. At each one you know where you stand.

Assessment
We read your manuscript and give you a reasoned answer. If it's no, we tell you why; if it's yes, we tell you what we're proposing to do with it.

Editing
Work on the text with you, not on you. Whatever changes is proposed and you decide: it's your work.

Proofreading and design
Copy-editing and proofreading, typesetting and cover. This is where the book stops being a file and starts being a book.

Publication
Distribution, a catalogue page and access to your portal, where you see your sales and what you've earned.
What we need
- Your manuscript, in DOCX o PDF, up to 20 MB.
- A few details about the work: title, genre, intended readership and roughly how many words.
- A way to reply to you: your email.
Nothing else. We don't ask for a sales pitch or a literary CV: what we want to read is the text.
What people usually ask us
How long do you take to reply?
It depends how many works we have in front of us. We confirm receipt straight away, with a reference number, and from then on we write as soon as a reading is done.
What do you do with my manuscript?
Read it. It's kept on our server, with no public address, and only the editorial team can reach it. If you tell us to delete it, we delete it.
Is it read by a person or a machine?
A first reading may lean on automatic tools to sort what arrives. The editorial decision is always made by a person, and it's that person who writes to you.
Do I still own my work?
Yes. Sending it for assessment gives away no rights. Whatever is given over, if we reach an agreement, will be written in a contract that you will read and sign.
How much do I earn per book sold?
The percentage is agreed with you and written into your contract. From your portal you can see at any time what you've earned, with our share already deducted.
